Our Core Values and Beliefs
The good news (gospel) of Jesus Christ is the power behind changed lives which means our growing faith in the what Jesus has already done our service will be motivated out of brokenness and love rather than fear.
The transforming grace of Christ compels us to redeem the dark places of our community and bring healing to fractured souls.
We desire to lead in a way that reveals Christ’s grace as more real than our competency.
Nature Coast Church wholeheartedly embraces the historic Christian faith expressed in all the ecumenical creeds of the universal church (e.g., the Apostles and Nicene Creeds). We are also a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) whose calling is be "the very presence of Jesus Christ in the world, a thousand churches in a million ways doing one thing-following Christ in mission, in a lost and broken world so loved by God."
We are humbled to be participants in Christ's larger church
In the essentials, unity; in the non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity.
In other words, not all aspects of our identity or belief are equally important; some things are more important than others. We unite as a church family around what matters most (Jesus), and do not break fellowship on secondary matters. While the latter are important, they are clearly not essential to salvation in Christ and thus membership in his Church.
What unites us as members at Nature Coast Church is our shared affirmation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, that we are Christians. On secondary matters, we affirm a wonderful and godly diversity. And in everything, we strive toward grace and peace - together!
